Step by step

Let’s make a good drink.

  1. Blend all liquid ingredients slowly without ice. If using xanthan, sprinkle it in gradually as the blender runs.

  2. Add a 7-ounce scoop of crushed ice and blend again.

  3. Pour into a chilled double rocks glass and finish with lime and mint. An ice cone is an optional presentation.

A thoughtful finish

  • Measure every ingredient before adding ice so the drink can be finished promptly.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the finished drink standing while preparing the garnish.

A few good questions.

Which version is this?

Use rich brown-sugar syrup at 2:1 and honey syrup at 3:1 honey to water by weight. The quantities follow the linked Difford’s Guide recipe.
