Cocktail Directory is a reference, not a blog. The aim is that every drink page tells you the exact build, what it should taste like, what to do when it goes wrong, and where the drink came from — with the working shown.
Pages here are bylined C.K. Dilleggi, which is a shared byline for Connie Pileggi and Karen Dillmore rather than an individual. It is a pen name and we say so on the author page; it is not a persona with invented credentials.
We use AI tools for research synthesis, structuring data, and first drafts. We do not publish unedited AI prose, and no page goes live without a human reading it.
The current site imagery is AI-generated and labelled as a placeholder on every record. It is not presented as photography of a tested drink. See How We Test Recipes.
We think the honest position is to say this openly rather than let the work imply more human effort than it had.
If something here is wrong, we want to fix it and say that we fixed it. Material corrections are noted on the page with the date. We do not quietly edit a factual error and pretend it was never there.

No brand pays for placement in a recipe, a ranking, or a “best of” list. Where a page carries affiliate links, that is disclosed above the first link — see our affiliate disclosure. Sponsored content, if we ever publish any, will be labelled as sponsored at the top of the page in the same size as the headline.
Recipes are reviewed on a schedule and the last-updated date is shown on the page. A drink whose spec we change will say what changed and why.
