A Harvey Wallbanger builds vodka and fresh orange juice over ice, then adds Galliano L’Autentico for a sweet herbal and vanilla finish.
Built to the standard modern spec; not yet tested in our kitchen. How we test.
The recipe.
Scaling adjusts quantities only. Prepare shaken drinks in individual portions.
Let’s make a good drink.
Fill a Collins glass with ice and prepare an orange slice.
Measure in the vodka and orange juice, then stir to combine.
Pour the Galliano gently over the surface so its aroma arrives first.
Garnish with the orange slice and serve immediately.
A thoughtful finish
- Use the metric list consistently; the source’s separate ounce list rounds the vodka differently.
- Check that the bottle is L’Autentico rather than another Galliano product.
- Choose a glass large enough for the measured juice, spirits and ice.
Common mistakes
- Adding the same volume of Galliano as vodka can make the herbal liqueur overpowering.
- Using sweetened orange beverage adds sugar outside the published recipe.
- Mixing the source’s metric vodka measure with its rounded ounce amount creates inconsistent servings.
A few good questions.

Variations
